A Welcome Addition

I walked again today, the first in a number of weeks. My stroll took me along my usual path, paralleling my street but far enough off that the street noises are minimized or not heard and the only real sounds are those of happy birds and other natives.

I was a touch disappointed however and it wasn’t with the chorus of the fauna but with the current state of the path. Since my last visit the grasses and weeds, even the shrubbery, has grown to an extent that portions of the route were at least partially obscured. Not to fear however, I had my trusty pruners on hand and performed some basic clearing and route housekeeping.

I was happy however to find two benches installed, at points in the path where a short rest might be appreciated. I don’t know who to thank but thanks ARE in order. I just may take advantage of their space in the near future.

  1. Good to get a new message from you, Dwayne. Been wondering how Brenda is doing. Isn’t it wonderful to have a trail to walk instead of the sidewalk? Very nice of you to carry your pruners along and tidy up as you go. I’m sure other walkers appreciate that as much as you appreciate the new benches. I’m always touched when we find a trail with benches that are sponsored in honour of a loved one, its a tribute I’d appreciate when I’m gone. Keep on enjoying your walks. I like the photos you post, too.
